The UGA College of Education Distinguished Alumni Awards
The University of Georgia College of Education is pleased to announce our first annual Distinguished Alumni Awards. UGA faculty and alumni are welcome to nominate College of Education undergraduate or graduate alumni in four distinct categories that honor graduates in different stages in their career and their lives.
Nominations
All nominations must be in by February 22nd. All nomination forms and materials will be carefully reviewed and judged by the College of Education Awards Committee.
Awards Celebration
Award recipients and their families will be invited to the College of Education Spring Celebration in April where their awards, along with other College of Education faculty awards and student scholarships, will be presented. Each recipient will receive a commemorative award and a place on our "Alumni Wall of Fame" located on the ground floor of Aderhold Hall.

The Lifetime Achievement Alumni Award
Eligibility Requirements: The recipient of the Alumni Service Award must be a distinguished undergraduate or graduate alumni that has demonstrated outstanding and continued dedication in service and/or philanthropy to the College of Education or his/her department through one of more of the following activities: charitable contributions to the COE (in-kind or monetary), service on the COE Board or other COE advisory committees, and/or participation in COE mentoring programs and social events.

Eligibility Requirements: The recipient of the Crystal Apple Award must be a distinguished undergraduate or graduate alumni in K-12 education, i.e. teaching, administration, counseling, that has made a significant impact on his/her students and/or school, school district, student performance.

The Professional Achievement Alumni Award
Eligibility Requirements: The recipient of the Professional Achievement Award must be a distinguished undergraduate or graduate alumni of a College of Education program in the midpoint of their career who has demonstrated significant achievements (promotions and awards) in his/her field.

The Lifetime Achievement Alumni Award
Eligibility Requirements: The recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Alumni Award must be a distinguished undergraduate or graduate senior alumni that holds a distinction in diverse fields of academia, healthcare, business or government and has demonstrated outstanding success in his/her work. The recipient must be a recognized leader and also have made a significant impact.
