A Call for Student Poster Presentation for 2011 Global Education Forum
Please have your students consider presenting at the 2011 Global Educational Forum on Culture, Research, and Teaching. Although the theme of the forum is on “Perspectives on Human Health in Global Societies,” student posters can be about research or papers outside the theme. Student poster presentations focus on global studies or service-based activities. Abstracts should be no longer than 250 words (and include the title, and presenter’s name and department affiliation). Poster sessions allow students to engage in a discussion about their papers in an informal manner with faculty, fellow students, and guests. This is an excellent way for students to network about their educational endeavors and employment opportunities.
Poster session time: 12:15-1:45pm, March 31, 2011 Students must put up their posters between 8:00am and 9:30am, and remove them by 7:00pm
Plan to be by your poster at least 10 minutes before 12:15pm on March 31. You will be provided with a poster board that measures 36” high and 48” wide (91.44cm x 121.92cm). Make sure your poster has an abstract that contains a purpose, method, results, and conclusions if data based or has an objective of the paper, procedures, thematic perspectives, and implications if non-data based. A poster is preceded by an abstract of no more than 250 words. Key terms used in the paper are listed immediately below the abstract.
Top three poster presenters will each receive a cash award, a certificate and a T-shirt (three graduate students and three undergraduate students). The rest of the presenters will each receive T-short only.
