Student Council for Exceptional Children |

The Department of Special Education has a student chapter of the Council for Exceptional Children. The Student Council for Exceptional Children (SCEC) is a professional organization promoting the advancement and education of all individuals with exceptionalities. The local chapter is made up of undergraduates, graduates, and faculty members. All Special Education majors are strongly encouraged to join, as well as people from other majors. By joining the SCEC you will receive the organization's journals, Exceptional Children and Teaching Exceptional Children, and will receive discounts for registration at CEC-sponsored conventions.
