Advisory Board
The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders (CMSD) Advisory Board was established to assist the department in achieving its mission and vision, with a focus on the services provided by the Speech and Hearing Clinic. Board members represent community leaders, academia, and stakeholders who have an interest in the program. Through contact with knowledgeable external advisors, the department seeks to gain critical input and recommendations on issues related to:
- Achievement of the department's mission and vision
- Strategic planning for continued growth and excellence
- A broad, objective perspective on departmental opportunities for improvement
The Advisory Board members are requested to:
- Attend quarterly meetings for a two-year period
- Provide guidance and recommendations for program improvement, accomplishment of the department's mission and vision, and strategic planning;
- Serve as knowledgeable resources for new initiatives and program development;
- Provide advice on fund solicitation and foundation development; and
- Provide advocacy and linkages to the community for increased awareness of the department's mission, vision, and services provided.
