Clinic Fees
The UGA Speech and Hearing Clinic is a fee-for-service self-supporting clinic. With the fees collected, the clinic purchases all supplies (paper, pens, testing materials, therapy materials, infection control supplies, hearing testing supplies, etc.) needed to operate effectively and covers all or portions of clinical faculty and staff salaries.
- Since we are a training facility, speech-language pathology fees tend to be lower in our Clinic than in the private sector. We offer a sliding fee scale for therapy services to those who apply and qualify based on financial need, and we do not refuse treatment due to an inability to pay.
- We do charge a minimum processing fee even to those whose fees are waived. This amount is typically 10% of what the service would be or a minimum of $10-20 depending on the service.
- Clients seeking financial assistance may apply annually to have fees reduced on our sliding fee scale.
- We offer a 10% discount to all UGA faculty, staff, and students on any services provided.
- Various payment plans may be arranged with the Clinic. We are both a Medicaid (primarily for Audiology services) and Medicare provider and can file for reimbursement from these agencies.
- We accept payment by cash, check, or credit cards and will provide you with an invoice to submit to your insurance company.
Speech-language pathology fees are:
Treatment $30.00/session (50 minutes)
Evaluation $200/session (usually 2 - 3 hours)
Please contact the clinic office for information on audiology or hearing aid fees at 706.542-4598.
