COE Programs Rank Among Top Public Universities in U.S. News' Best Graduate Schools for 2006

he University of Georgia College of Education continues to be ranked among the top public universities in the nation in U.S. News & World Report's 2006 edition of  “America's Best Graduate Schools.”
       UGA's graduate programs in education are ranked among the top 18 public universities in the nation and the top four in the Southeast. Overall, UGA tied with the University of North Carolina–Chapel Hill at 27th in the nation.
       Under specialties, five COE graduate programs are again ranked in the top 10:

  • Elementary Education 4th  
  • Secondary Education 5th  
  • Vocational/Technical 5th   
  • Counseling/Personnel 8th  
  • Curriculum/Instruction 10th 

       Three other UGA graduate education programs are ranked among the top 20 in the nation:

  • Educational Psychology 14th
  • Higher Education Administration 14th  
  • Special Education 19th

The UGA College of Education rose from 27th to 24th in U.S.News & World Report's 2005 edition of  “America's Best Graduate Schools.”

UGA's graduate programs in education are ranked among the top 14 public universities in the nation and the top 3 in the Southeast, along with Vanderbilt University and the University of Virginia. Under specialties, five COE graduate programs are ranked in the Top 10 (last year's ranking in parenthesis):

The UGA College of Education is listed among the nation's top graduate schools in the latest rankings from U.S. News & World Report's 2004 edition of  “America's Best Graduate Schools.”
    The College’s overall graduate program is tied for 27th overall with the universities of Florida and Washington out of 187 education schools.  The COE is ranked among the top 17 public schools in the nation and 3rd in the Southeast, along with Vanderbilt University and the University of Virginia.
