COE Team Receives 2005 NLTI Fellowship in Science Education and Technology

A UGA College of Education team of two faculty members and three doctoral students has been awarded the Society for Information Technology and Teacher Education's (SITE) fourth annual NTLI Fellowship in Science Education and Technology for 2005.

Thomas Koballa, professor of science education, and Leslie Upson, instructor, along with doctoral students Cynthia C. Minchew, Amy Parlo, and Justus Inyega, were recognized for their paper, “Using Technology to Support Evidence-based Science Teaching and Mentoring.”

The NTLI Fellowship is awarded to an exemplary paper on the topic of Technology in Science Education. The UGA group will represent the Association for Science Teacher Education (AETS) by presenting the paper at the SITE 2005 annual conference in Phoenix, AZ, in March.
