Blase Speaks in New Zealand
Jo Blase, a professor in the Department of Workforce Education, Leadership, and Social Foundations, was the keynote speaker for New Zealand’s Biennial Conference for Principals and School Executives held in Rotorua, New Zealand, June 15-17, 2005.
Blase’s keynote speech was titled, “Straight Talk About the Slowest Revolution in Leadership: Connecting Pedagogy and Administration for School Success,” and compared research on quality teaching from around the world, but with special regard to Pakeha, Asian, Maori, and Pasifika students.
Blase also conducted two workshops for school administrators while in New Zealand. The conference was sponsored by the New Zealand Ministry of Education.
