COE Fall Convocation 2005 to be Held December 16

The Fall Semester 2005 celebration for graduating students, including both undergraduate and graduate students, will be held on Friday, Dec. 16, 2005 at 4 p.m. in the Hugh Hodgson Concert Hall of the Performing Arts Center.  The convocation speaker will be Dr. Thomas G. Dyer, Director of the University's Institute of Higher Education.

Students are encouraged to invite family members and guests, but due to the limited seating capacity of the facility and the number of graduates, we request that you please limit your invited guests to four people

Graduating students participating in the fall convocation are asked to report to the check-in area outside Ramsey Hall (inside the Performing Arts Center) 30 minutes before the ceremony on December 16 to ensure they will be individually presented at the ceremony.  Dress will be business attire; caps and gowns are not worn for convocation. If you or your guests have a disability or need special assistance, please notify us when making your reservations.

The ceremony will provide an opportunity for students, faculty, and staff to publicly celebrate the attainment of a very important milestone in our students' lives.  If you have any questions, please contact Kelly Harris in the Student Services Office at (706) 542-6208.

The convocation ceremony for graduates will be held on Friday, December 16, 2005 at 4:00 p.m. in the Hugh Hodgson Concert Hall of the Performing Arts Center.  If you plan to attend the fall semester convocation, please notify Adlee Smith in the Student Services Office, 122 Aderhold Hall, (706) 542-1717, by Wednesday, November 30, 2005.

A DVD remembrance of the event (including the College's farewell video presentation, speakers, footage of you and your classmates being presented to the Dean, etc.) will be available approximately one month after the ceremony.  The cost is $20.00, including shipping and handling.

If you have any questions, please contact Kelly Harris or Jamie Lewis at (706) 542-1717.
