UGA Sport Business Club Hosts 'Meet & Greet' September 11 at Sanford Stadium

The UGA Sport Business Club will be hosting the second annual “Meet & Greet” for UGA students, faculty, and staff on Saturday, September 11th in the SkyClub Level of Sanford Stadium.  Students and friends from all walks of the University are welcome to attend, but especially those within the Terry College, the Grady College of Journalism, the Law School, the Franklin College of Arts & Sciences, the College of Family & Consumer Science and the College of Education. 

Visitors should enter the SkyClub level via the South Tower elevators off of Field Street.  The entrance is in between gates 7B and 8, and doors open at 4 p.m.  The UGA-South Carolina game will be televised in the SkyClub level and kicks off at 5:30 p.m.

Three special guests will be visiting the "Meet & Greet" including Maritza Correia, a silver medalist winner at the 2004 Summer Olympics.  Correia's bio can be found at http://www.nbcolympics.com/athletebios/5023723/detail.html. She is a former member of the UGA Swimming & Diving team, and she took home a silver medal for competing in the 4 x 100m freestyle relay.  Correia is expected to play a continuing role on the Olympic scene as she prepares for the 2008 Olympics in China.  She will discuss her time in Greece and share her Olympic experiences.

Our third guest will be Randi Chapman, a former member of the UGA track and field program. Chapman works for Strategic Wealth, a firm specializing in the management of professional athletes' and entertainers' charitable foundations. Food and beverages will be available courtesy of Coca-Cola and Q'doba as attendees will be able to watch the UGA-South Carolina football game at 5:30 p.m. on ESPN.  Attire is business casual, and the first 50 to enter will receive a free chicken sandwich coupon courtesy of Chick-fil-a.  Please note that there is a one-time nominal membership fee that covers the 2004-05 academic year encompassing all of the SBC's special events.
