Seminar: Bilingualism as a Resource

This presentation will describe the Teachers for English Language Learners (TELL) Program. This program is designed to promote the cultural and educational integration and academic achievement of the growing number of English language learners in Georgia's schools by facilitating the education and certification of bilinguals and connecting them to high-need schools in Georgia. Presenters include Betsy Rymes, associate professor of language education and director of TELL; Christine Burgoyne, academic professional, Georgia Center for Continuing Education; Melisa Cahnmann, assistan professor of language education; Mariana Souto Manning, PhD student, language education; Esperanza Mejia, MA student, elementary education; and Cindy Molloy, director of recruitment, College of Education.
