Brown Bag: For the Love of Justice and Peace

Join us for a viewing of one of history's most memorable moments, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s "I Have A Dream" speech delivered on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, DC. This video chronicles Dr. King’s vision of nonviolence, juxtaposed against violent, racist images of the social context during the civil rights movement.  It is a stark reminder that while advances in creating his vision of “The Beloved Community” have been made, we still have much work ahead of us in creating a country that lives by Dr. King’s principles of courage, truth, justice, compassion, dignity, and service.
