Glynn, Paris Receive 2004 GATE Distinguished Award

COE professor Shawn Glynn and doctoral graduate Nita Paris were named the 2004 recipients of the Georgia Association of Teacher Educators (GATE) Distinguished Research Award.

Glynn, a professor in educational psychology and science education, and Nita Paris, an assistant professor of educational psychology at Kennesaw State University in Marietta, received the annual award given to a research project in teacher education which is reported in a journal that year.

Glynn received UGA's Josiah Meigs Award for Excellence in Teaching in 1998 and was a Senior Teaching Fellow in 1996.

Paris is graduate program coordinator in the department of secondary and middle grades education at KSU. She received her PhD in educational psychology from UGA in 2000.
