Alice V. Sampson
received the 2003 Rural Education Dissertation of the Year award for her study, Exploring the Relationship Between a Small Rural School in Northeast Georgia and Its Community:  An Image-Based Study Using Participant-Produced Photographs.  The award is a recognition by The Rural Education Special Interest Group (SIG) of the American Educational Research Association. Sampson is on the faculty at North Georgia State College and University in Dahlonega, GA. She received her doctoral degree from UGA.
