In support of developing mentoring communities the school districts of Barrow, Clarke, Jackson, Madison, Oconee and Oglethorpe counties invite you to join the conversations about induction and mentoring at the Georgia Systemic Education Program's (GSTEP) 2nd annual Teacher Induction Conference on Tuesday, June 3 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Oconee County Civic Center.
The featured speakers is Hal Portner, author of Training Mentors Is Not Enough.
Participants can also attend clinics on related topics such as The GSTEP Bridge, Critical Friends Groups, induction funding models, district-level induction support, school-based induction support, evaluating induction programs and electronic teacher portfolios. Attendance qualifies your school for an opportunity to obtain induction and mentoring funds from your respective district.
Participation is limited to the first 350 registered.
