Dunn Receives Award For Work in Student Affairs

Merrily Dunn, an assistant professor in counseling and human development services and coordinator of the College Student Affairs Administration masters program, received the Melvene Draheim Hardee Award at the Southern Association for College Student Affairs Conference. The award is given annually for outstanding contributions to student affairs through research and scholarship.

 Dunn was recognized specifically for the impact of living-learning center on college student development and for her work with the Council for the Advancement of Standards for Students Affairs Administration (CASSAA).

Prior to joining the UGA faculty in 2001, Dunn had been an associate professor and coordinator of the Student Affairs program at Mississippi State University. She received her PhD in educational policy and leadership from The Ohio State University.
