The students and their departments are: Amy Albritton, John Will Dean, Marilyn Lainie Gatch, Louise Taylor Grady, Melinda Hollis and Rebecca Moon, all of language education; Heather C. Green, early childhood education; Lakesha Holt, health and physical education; Rachel Jones, science education; and Michael Youngblood, social science education.

    Scholarship recipients must be U.S. citizens, enrolled in an approved teacher program at the college and must demonstrate an intention to make a career in education in Georgia. Financial need is a primary requisite. Scholarships are awarded for full-time student teaching semester only.

    Scholarship funding is $950 for each student teacher. Funding comes from trust accounts in the names of George R. Gilmer, Sallie Maude Jones, Floyd & Emily Jordan, and Flora Rogers UGA Foundations accounts contributing to the funding include the James L. Dickerson (spring semester only), the Paul Kea Memorial and Charlotte Williams scholarships.
