Dr. Jan Herrington from Edith Cowan University in Australia will speak on"Strategies for Designing More Authentic Activities in Online Courses"  at noon on Friday, September 27 in Room 601 Aderhold.

    Herrington has won important awards and grants for her research in online learning, including the Young Researcher of the Year prize  from AECT in 1999, best paper awards, and a prestigious Australian
Research Council grant.  Most recently, she has been designated a  Fulbright Scholar which is enabling her to spend this semester in UGA's department of instructional technology.
