Lead: Pam Royston hasn't had time to ponder why she chose to be a teacher of mentally retarded students. She has been too busy the past six years teaching young men who needed their diapers changed though they were 20 or 21, and students with the minds of toddlers though they stand more than 6 feet tall or weigh in excess of 260 pounds. |
