  • New GALILEO Password: The GALILEO password for the Fall Semester is now active. (That’s not the password, but its status.) Click on the GALILEO Password link on the Libraries’ Homepage to access it.

  • ProQuest Databases Down for Maintenance: ProQuest Databases in GALILEO will be unavailable due to scheduled maintenance on August 25th at 10:00pm for eight (8) hours.

  • LGBTQ Book Buzz: Library Journal is hosting a free Webinar, Read Out Loud: LGBTQ Book Buzz, August 29th, 3:00–4:00pm. For more information and to register click here. Also, even if you can’t “attend” at this time, if you register you can access the transcripts at a later time.

  • Longlist of Titles for the Man Booker Prize: In July the Man Booker Prize committee released the longlist of nominees for the 2013 Prize.

From the Libraries’ Blog: The Voltaire Foundation, in collaboration with the ARTFL Project, has announced the public release of the TOUT VOLTAIRE (http://artfl-project.uchicago.edu/tout-voltaire) online resource. Tout Voltaire brings you, in fully searchable form, all of Voltaire’s works apart from his correspondence. This plain-text version (without critical apparatus or notes) is the most reliable version available anywhere on the web. Tout Voltaire is made available free of charge by the Voltaire Foundation (University of Oxford) and the ARTFL Project (University of Chicago).
