GALILEO Password for K-12 Community ONLY: Each new month brings a new password to the GALILEO K-12 Community. If you would like to be able to share with your students what teachers & students see in K-12 classrooms, this password is for you. Got Kids? If you’ve got your children with you in the COE, stop by the CML. We’ve got plenty to read, games to play, puppets to interact with and videos & DVDs to entertain and enlighten. We even have ready-made lists of materials by categories, for your browsing pleasure. We’re open 8:00am-8:00pm M-Th, closing at 5:00 on Fridays, closed Saturdays and open 1:00-5:00 on Sundays. AERA To Publish Open-Access Peer-Reviewed Journal: This note comes from the Education, Behavioral & Social Sciences Librarians listserv: The American Educational Research Association (AERA) announced today that it will launch AERA Open, an online, peer-reviewed journal that will be freely available to all readers on the web. AERA Open is expected to start publishing articles in early 2014.
Unwanted Books Become Art: If you’re feeling particularly arty, here’s a, well, novel use for old books. Please don’t practice on library books, though. We take a dim view of this sort of thing.
