First Person Interviews Set for April 19th: If you’re a fan of NPR’s StoryCorps, you’ll like this. The next interviews for the First Person Project, a new oral history series documenting the experiences of everyday Georgians, are set for April 19 between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. in the Richard B. Support Educational Opportunities for Women: The Jeannette Rankin Foundation, which provides scholarships to women aged 35 and over to help raise themselves from poverty, is holding a quilt raffle to provide even more scholarships. The tickets are $5 each, with a discount for packets of tickets and are on sale online. Jeannette Rankin Scholars go on to become physical therapists, teachers, accountants, social workers, doctors and join the ranks of thousands of other occupations. These women don’t just change their own lives, but the lives of their families and of their communities. Get inspired by reading their stories. The drawing is April 14th.
