  • Library Book & Bake Sale: Wednesday, October 24th the Library Staff Association will host a Book & Bake Sale from 9:30-3:30 in the lobby of the Main Library. Half of the proceeds will benefit the North Georgia Food Bank. Please consider getting on the bus to North Campus, satisfy your research, reading and nibbling needs and contribute to a good cause all at the same time. If you would like to donate books to the sale, please contact Mollie Armour.

  • Librarians, the American Chemical Society & Pricing: Science Library librarian, Ian Thomas, shared a link about journal pricing, the American Chemical Society, and accreditation. To lighten the mood, Ian also shared a link of an owl petting a dog.

  • Libraries Celebrate Open Access Week, October 22-October 26: Join the UGA Libraries for a series of lectures and discussions on Open Access. Guest speakers include Dr. Jennifer Campbell-Meirer of the University of Alabama, Dr. Bill Kretzschmar from UGA’s English Department and James M.   • The Man Nobody Knew: Spymaster William Colby, CIA: The Russell Library will screen the The Man Nobody Knew: Spymaster William Colby on November 15th, 3:30-6:30 in the Russell Auditorium (Rm 271) of the Special Collections Library. A panel discussion featuring UGA faculty and a retired CIA agent, among other experts, will follow. For more information, please click here.
