What’s up with ERIC? If you’ve been having trouble opening ERIC documents lately, you’re not alone. There are “privacy issues” (which haven’t really been explained thus far) with the ERIC documents (the EDs) which are causing the digital version of these materials not to display. This is a deliberate move on ERIC’s part, and not just a failure of technology. For the documents that were first available in microfiche, we’re in luck. UGA still has the microfiche collection in the basement of the Main Library and the ERIC Documents are filed by ED number. Librarians all over the country are up in arms about this issue, so you’re not suffering alone. As more information is available, it will be shared.
