RefWorks and Account Information: If you receive a note from RefWorks informing you that your RefWorks Account login name has been changed, don’t be alarmed. It’s a legitimate email from RefWorks and not from Bob The Hacker. They are changing the login name to match the email you registered, thus eliminating the need for the Group Code.

Russell Library Historical Forum Discussion–Slavery or Freedom Forever? Join the Russell Forum for a community forum on the historical crisis of American slavery, on Friday, April 27th from 3:30–5:00PM. With the help of trained neutral moderators, participants will weigh several approaches faced by Americans in 1854 for contending with slavery and its future in the United States and look closely at the values underlying these historical approaches. The group will also consider if and how these same underlying values inform American attitudes and approaches to tough public issues today. All are welcome to this free event! Share Your Views on Open Access Publishing: The GALILEO Knowledge Repository (GKR) project is developing a cooperative institutional repository (IR) model for USG institutions for managing and accessing their digital scholarship, research information, and related works. The GKR also will include a metadata repository for federated searching and browsing across these institutions’ repositories for the citizens of Georgia and the scholarly community at large. For additional information see the informed consent document.
The research survey will take approximately 10–15 minutes. During the research survey, you will be asked questions about the issues associated with open access and author rights, identify whether you are publishing in open access journals, as well as your use and perceptions of institutional repositories. Participation in the research survey will not affect your employment in any way. Note to librarians: Many USG librarians took part in a similar study in 2009. Please participate in this study as well.
YOUR PARTICIPATION IS COMPLETELY VOLUNTARY. You are free not to participate or stop participating any time before you submit your answers.
If you understand the statements above, read the informed consent document, and freely consent to be in this study, click NEXT to begin. By completing the research survey, you agree to participate in this project and to the use of survey data as described above.
