About Tutoring at Oasis Católico Santa Rafaela
The University of Georgia has supported tutoring at Oasis Católico since 2003. Oasis Católico Santa Rafaela is a Catholic outreach and ministry located in the Pinewood Estates North mobile home park in Athens. Click here to learn more about the Oasis ministry.

Oasis Católico Santa Rafaela:
Tutoring focuses on K to 4th Grade students, Monday through Thursday, 3:00-5:00. Tutors are asked to commit themselves to volunteer one day a week for the duration of the semester.

Orientation for the Fall Semester 2007 will be August 20, 21, 22, and 23, ~3:00-5:00 pm. All new tutors need to attend one of the orientation sessions. Returning tutors do not need to attend orientation sessions. First tutoring day will be August 27 and last tutoring day for the fall semester will be November 29, 2007. Spring semester 2008 orientation days will be January 14, 15, 16, 17 ~3:00-5:30pm. Tutoring at Oasis will resume on January 22, 2008. Returning students from the Fall semester do not need to do any paper work; all they need is to appear on the day they commit themselves to tutor for the Spring semester. Tutoring sessions will end May 1, 2008.

Take Lumpkin towards and through downtown. Make a right at Dougherty. Left at Thomas (go under the old bridge). Thomas becomes North Avenue and later Danielsville Road as you go over the Perimeter (Loop 10). Stay on the right lane and bear to the right as the lane ends to become Hull Road. At the first light make a left. (on the left corner is “The Tartar House” and on the right is Athens Tech. College). This is Hwy. 29N. At 1.5 miles make a left at the Exxon gas station (on your right is Athens Christian School). Enter the drive way slowly, and at the “Y” bear left. Continue on and around and on this street you will find Lot F-8 on your right (it is a cinder block house).
