In addition to the Goizueta Foundation Scholars, CLASE is proud to have several other University of Georgia graduate students assisting with our programs.

Rebecca Grad Student Rebecca Gokee is a graduate student in the Educational Psychology: Applied Cognition and Development Program. Originally from Orlando, Florida, Rebecca received her BA from Flagler College in Elementary Education and Spanish. She taught Kindergarten for 2 years and then served as an education consultant in Malawi, Africa before coming to UGA. She is currently helping with the IES grant, working to improve the teaching and learning of English Language Learners through the Instructional Conversation Model.
Albert grad student Albert Jimenez is a doctoral student in EPIT in the Research, Evaluation, Measurement and Statistics program. Bert was previously a math teacher at Clarke Central High School, and is working with CLASE’s “Five Standards for Effective Pedagogy” training with Forsyth County teachers.
chaudhari Casey Nixon is a doctoral student in Educational Psychology in the Research, Evaluation, Measurement, and Statistics program. Originally from San Marcos, Texas, Casey received her BA from Texas State University in psychology with a minor in anthropology, and later received her MA in Educational Psychology at the University of Georgia. She has done extensive volunteer work with Texas elementary level students as an assistant teacher, and has continued tutoring elementary students through CLASE’s program.
