Ed.S. in Workforce Education

Specialist in Education Degree (Ed.S.)

Graduate students who have obtained a masters degree can work toward the Specialist in Education degree with an emphasis in Workforce Education (career and technical education). This degree program is a self-contained, terminal degree program. It provides advanced study for those preparing for positions which call for a higher level of competence and specialization in career and technical education beyond that of the masters degree but without the heavy emphasis on research of the doctoral degree.

The program for the education specialist degree consists of a minimum of thirty (30) semester hours of study at the graduate level beyond the master’s degree, including specific core courses and a course in statistics.

The program is planned as a logically organized whole in light of the student’s record in previous undergraduate and graduate courses.
