The faculty members in the LDT program encourage doctoral students to pursue research, study, and internship opportunities at international universities and research centers. If you are interested in international study, first clarify your academic and/or research objectives and personal interests. Then, look for specific faculty or institutions that are engaged in work aligned with your interests. Our program currently has working relationships with institutions in Australia, Brazil, South Africa, and The Netherlands. (See table below.)
A good place to start your search is by exploring opportunities at these institutions, or you can contact the faculty contact person for specific information.
Note that international study is not limited to these particular institutions or projects. If you’re interested in studying or working with a researcher at an institution not listed below, consult with your advisor.

Support for International Travel
The Department of Educational Psychology and Instructional Technology (EPIT) has established a program to provide travel support for international study. However, international travel can be expensive, and departmental funding typically will not cover all expenses. However, there are other resources available at the university-level and through external organizations such as:
* Fulbright Scholarship
* UGA List of Scholarships for Study Abroad
