Doctor of Philosophy and Master of Education

The UGA Learning, Design, and Technology program (formerly Instructional Technology) is widely known for its outstanding research-focused doctoral experience, boasting graduates at top universities and professional organizations around the world. In addition to the doctoral level, a recent expansion of the research focus in LDT is the research-oriented M.Ed. degree track that is designed for master’s-level students who would like to eventually apply for a doctoral degree.

Ph.D.

The Ph.D. program in Learning, Design, and Technology (LDT) prepares individuals to engage in advanced scholarly inquiry related to the design, development, and evaluation of effective interactive learning environments. The program is intentionally residential in nature, emphasizing mentoring in advanced research and development processes and working closely with faculty members and other graduate students.

M.Ed.

The research-oriented M.Ed. degree track is designed for master’s-level students who would like to eventually apply for a doctoral degree.
