Instructional Technology for Teaching Certificate

Overview

The Learning, Design, and Technology (LDT) Program at the University of Georgia is offering  a Certificate in Instructional Technology for Teaching beginning in the fall of 2013 for a total of 15 graduate credits.  We have designed this certificate to align with the Georgia Professional Standards Commission’s new certification for instructional Technology.  Students who earn this certificate will then be eligible for Instructional Technology certification from the GPSC.  We encourage any of the 92,000 teachers in the State of Georgia to apply to this certificate program.  You can do so as part of any other UGA teacher education program or you can apply non-degree to get this certificate.  However, we have found that there are others that are interested in how to use technology effectively in their classrooms such as  students across the University of Georgia campus who aspire to become university faculty.   If you  have an interest in using technology more effectively in your classrooms, this certificate is for you.  So, you can either come to UGA exclusively to complete this certificate or you can complete this certificate as part of whatever degree program you are already enrolled in here at UGA.
