Overview
The Learning, Design, and Technology (LDT) Program is offering a fully online Graduate Certificate in eLearning Design that is composed of five 3-credit hour classes. We believe that there are at least three classifications of audiences that would be interested in the eLearning Design Graduate Certificate –
- Students currently enrolled in other graduate programs here at UGA who want to learn more about how to design and deliver online courses;
- People who recognize that eLearning is growing and they want to learn how to design and deliver their own courses, but are not currently enrolled at UGA;
- Universities that would like to partner with the LDT Program and would have their students take the UGA certificate and combine that with some development courses on their own campus and thereby allow themselves to offer a masters degree in eLearning by leveraging the expertise of LDT faculty at UGA.
Furthermore, we believe that those who take this certificate will be well prepared to design and deliver eLearning at the K-12 and Higher Education levels, not to mention that it will aid those who are interested in training in business and industry, healthcare, military, government, and other industries. With more than 6 million students in the fall of 2010 taking at least one online course, this is the time to have expertise in eLearning Design
