Specialist in Education (Ed.S.) in Professional School Counseling
Prospective Students
Admissions
Students interested in being admitted should complete both graduate school and departmental applications and submit the necessary references and supporting documents. Applicants will also need to submit either GRE or MAT scores. Applicants are encouraged to submit all materials as soon as possible. For specific questions related to the application process, please contact Pam LaSalle at (706) 542-1813 or through e-mail at plasalle@uga.edu.
International students applying to our program will need to show English proficiency with score of 55 or higher on the TSE.
Deferment Policy: Due to the high demand of our programs, we will not defer admission from one year to another time in the future. All prospective students are reviewed in light of a cohort model. This requires each years’ applicants to be reviewed as a group and decisions made about admission from that perspective. Anyone who is admitted to any program in our department and decides not to attend will be asked to reapply to that program if they seek admission at a later date. It is the applicant’s responsibility to make sure that his or her application is completed. The Graduate School tracking screen provides applicants with updated information on their application status.
For additional information, interested persons are encouraged to call the Department of Counseling and Human Development Services at 706-542-1812 to speak with a representative for the program.
