Linda Kotowski (M.Ed. '73)
lkotowsk@auroragov.org, recipient of the RLS 1987 Distinguished Alumni Award, is the Recreation Administrator for Library and Recreation Services for the Recreation Services Department of the City of Aurora, CO. She recently accepted the 2003 USTA/NRPA Excellence in Tennis Programming award in class 2 division for her department at the NRPA Congress in St. Louis.

Janna Blasingame Custer (B.S. '91)
jcuster@logannature.org is the Executive Director of Stokes Nature Center in Logan, UT.

Mel Bolling (B.S. '94),
mfbolling@fs.fed.us Staff Officer for the USDA Forest Service was recipient of the RLST 2003 Distinguished Alumni Award and was the featured speaker at the RLST Recognition Banquet on December 5th. Mel began his career with the USDA Forest Service in northern Utah as a volunteer wilderness ranger and over the past decade has risen to the rank of Staff Officer of Recreation, Lands and Minerals and is responsible for 300,000+ acres of the Carson National Forest in northern New Mexico. He has focused his efforts on stewardship of public lands including watershed and riparian area protection and rehabilitation, development and improvement of diverse recreation opportunities, timber and forest products programs, minerals administration and management, wildlife habitat protection and fisheries improvement, interpretation and education programs. Since graduating from UGA, Mel has provided funding and opportunities for several RLST student interns.

sanneone@juno.com, husband Ted Millette, and daughter Emma, welcomed their new baby, Edward Joseph, to their family on Halloween.

Amy Brookshire Peck (B.S. '95)
amy.pec@nghs.com is working at Foothills Area Health Education Center providing health care recruitment for rural areas in 31 GA counties through classroom presentations, health fairs, camps, and career counseling.

Stephanie Burton (B.S. '96)
Stephanie.burton@mcd.com is a Human Resources Consultant for McDonald's in the Atlanta Region.

Laine Weinstein (B.S. '98)
lainew@vvh.org presented at the American Therapeutic Recreation Association (ATRA) Conference this September in Atlanta and, based on the success of her presentation, she was invited to present a 3-hour version of the presentation at the ATRA mid-year meeting March 2004 in New Mexico.

Kellee Brown (B.S. '99)
Kellee.Brown@ci.raleigh.nc.us who is a Marketing and Program Development Specialist for the City of Raleigh Parks and Recreation Department has begun work on her Master's degree at North Carolina State University.

Sharon Peterson Gillespie (B.S. '99)

is the Athletic Coordinator for youth and adult programs with the City of Carrollton, GA.

Jordan Heitz (B.S. '02)
jordanheitz@hotmail.com biked 4,200 miles for the 2003 Habitat Bicycle Challenge to raise over $250,000 for Habitat for Humanity. Jordan is one of four featured riders to be included in a documentary of the event due out on Amazon.com in December on VHS and DVD and possibly aired on PBS.
