Congratulations Alums Steve Dempsey (Ed.D. '88) dempsey@cviog.uga.edu conducted a workshop for undergraduate students in RLST 4900 Research and Evaluation in Leisure Services on facilitating focus groups and town meetings on February 12th.
Judy Burdett (M.Ed. '94) judy.burdett@baycare.org has been accepted to the Ph.D. program at Texas A&M in the Department of Adult Education.
Monica Braver (B.S. '95) jaybraver@yahoo.com is the Admissions Coordinator for Vista Care, a local agency providing hospice services. She was previously employed by Adult Protective Services for Department of Family Services in the Athens area. She resides in Nicholson, GA with her husband and 16-month-old twins.
Christa Blades Rowland (B.S. '95) christa.rowland@hcahealthcare.com is a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist working at Coliseum Rehabilitation Center in Macon, GA as the Senior CTRS. Christa was married last November.
Carolyn Stevens Stone (M.Ed. '96) stonecs@bellsouth.net, adjunct faculty for the School of Education at Palm Beach Atlantic University, was appointed to the position of President of the Junior League of the Palm Beaches. Carolyn resides in North Palm Beach, FL with her husband, Ed, and young sons, Jack and Luke.

Shayle Wigger Cavalli (B.S. '99) scavalli@msn.com is a therapeutic recreation specialist at Shepherd Pathways, an out-patient day program serving people with acquired brain injuries.
Brandi Lee Bell Wilson (B.S. '99) brandy.wilson2@hcahgalthcare.com is a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist working at Coliseum Rehabilitation Hospital in Macon.
Kristian Jackson (M.Ed. '00) kjackson@ncobs.org is the Program Director of the Table Rock base camp for the North Carolina Outward Bound School.
Richard Williams (Ed. D. '00) williamsri@mail.ecu.edu was first author on the paper "Outdoor Recreation Participation of People with Mobility Disabilities: Selected Results of the National Survey of Recreation and the Environment" with coauthors Hans Vogelsong, Gary Green, and Ken Cordell published in the Summer 2004 issues of the Journal of Park and Recreation Administration, 22(2).
Corey Johnson (Ph.D. '02) cjohns14@csulb.edu is working with the Community Service Learning Center, STARS (Students Talking About Resisting Substances) and BLAST (Better Learning After School Today) having his students in his Philosophy of Recreation and Leisure class create and supervise a daily homework/recreation program in a low income housing development and a lesbian/gay high school designed to promote life effectiveness skills, resiliency, success, civic responsibility, and a stronger understanding of their philosophy of providing leisure services.
Dov Estroff (M.Ed. '02) passed the national examination for being a Certified Professional in Recreation and Parks.
Justin Sawyer (B.S. '03) sawyer_ja@hotmail.com became a Nationally Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist and is working at Three Springs Hospital in Trenton, AL.
