In the News Gwynn Powell's success in obtaining funding by the Atlanta Falcons Foundation to support multicultural education efforts to be conducted in the Athens Elementary Schools next year was reported in an article in the February 6th edition of the Athens Banner-Harold written by Alisa DeMao titled "Elementary schools team up with Falcons."
Carly Robinson was quoted in the March 1st Athens Banner-Herald titled "Athens folks brave cold, rain in trip to S. Georgia's Okefenokee Swamp" about her role as a trip leader. http://www.onlineathens.com/stories/030203/spo_20030302048.shtml
Lynne Cory (M.Ed. '99) lynneC95@aol.com and Leslie Black (M.Ed. '02) lcblack@arches.uga.edu were pictured in the Athens-Banner Herald on March 30th with Athens-Clarke County Leisure Services' Rolling Dogs basketball team that recently participated in the BlazeSports wheelchair basketball tournament in Warm Springs.

Carly Robinson was quoted in the article "Shepard: Eco-Adventure offers challenge" by Charles Shepard in the Athens-Banner Herald on Saturday, April 13th for her work with the Eco-Adventure: Survival of the Fittest race.
Shannon McKeon, was recently featured in an Athens Banner Herald article regarding her exploits as the starting catcher for the UGA softball team.
Gwynn Powell and her graduate students were identified in the June 16th edition of The UGA Columns 30(33), p. 2 as major contributors to the UGA College of Education Partnership for Community Learning Centers that recently received the GA School Board Association Partnership Commendation. The article highlighted their work on leading an array of after-school and inter-session programs for students in two elementary schools.
