Center for Empowered Youth
The Center for Empowered Youth is an academic initiative aimed at combating academic disidentification by providing positive role models for participants on a consistent basis, challenging students academically, and employing culturally relevant strategies to enhance academic performance. Three programs – Empowered Youth Programs (EYP), Gentlemen on the Move (GOTM) and Young Women Scholars (YWS) – are the focus of the work of the Center.
