Research Interests

  • Primary focus is on women and disempowered populations
  • Examines leisure as a context for power and social control
  • Currently studying the volunteer dog rescue operations after Hurricane Katrina

Personal

  • Home life includes three dogs, two cats, and an overgrown garden, and she has an undying loyalty to her home state of Wisconsin
