Orientation

Please take time each week of the Institute to:

Check the articles listed as readings for the week under Course Readings.

Read the lecture and answer the questions you will encounter in bold.

At the end of each week’s lecture, you will also have a brief assignment to complete.

Send your reactions or any questions you have regarding each week’s readings, lecture, and assignments to the Institute Listserv (by clicking on Mailbox at the top of the page) by Friday each week.

Some weeks we will meet as a ‘class’ in an on-line chat room.  During that time we can discuss issues that come from your assignments for the week and give each other feedback.

Also Note:

Each week's readings and activities are designed to be completed within 2 hours.

Because you may receive e-mail assignments or questions from other course members, remember to check your e-mail each time you begin to work on course activities.

If you have any questions during the week, please send them to your assigned instructor: dlcooper@uga.edu. Every effort will be made to respond to you, to interact with you, and to encourage and support you in gaining the knowledge and skills you need.

Each unit is designed so that when you click on a link it will take you directly to a short section or activity.

We hope this will be helpful when you begin working in a unit but must attend to other duties and come back to the unit at a later time.
