institution.

-Student's driver's
license and Social Security number.
-W-2 and other records
of money earned in previous year.
-Current US income tax
return for student, spouse (if married), and
parents (if
student is dependent or enrolled in a first undergraduate
degree
program).
-Records of untaxed
income.

Application
Contact your Financial Aid office for any
school applications or additional forms
that may be needed.
Student
Aid Report (SAR)
Approximately four to five weeks after filing a FAFSA
or Renewal FAFSA , you
will receive
a SAR.
1. Review the SAR for accuracy.
2.
Follow all instructions on the first page of the SAR-including submitting
information
for verification if selected.
Determine
individual needs through your own budget sheet.
Review and
sign the school award letter.
Complete
loan applications (FFEL) or sign promissory note
(FDSL) and return.
Cost of
Attendance (COA)
A general figure can be obtained from your institution.
1. Tuition and Fees.
2. Books and
Supplies.
3. Room and Board.
4. Living Expenses.
Expected
Family Contribution (EFC)
This is based on a Department of Education
formula which subtracts allowances
from resources and makes adjustments based on number of family and number
of family in college. This is
determined from FAFSA information and reported
back to the student on the SAR.
COA-EFC=Estimated Need
Used to determine eligibility for all
federal aid programs.
