on Student Activities at The University of
Georgia
Students who become involved in and around their campus
appear to settle happily into the community. For this reason, many
opportunities are available for student participation throughout The University of Georgia. The
UGA Department of Student
Activities works to enhance each student's college experiences through their
facilities and services as well as educational and social programs.
Facilities Available
- Tate Student Center: includes staff offices, an
information desk, a gameroom, a computer lab, a movie theater, a cafe, and
study/lounging space for students
- Memorial Hall: contains staff offices and
meeting rooms available for student use
- Legion Field: large arena with a stage for
various performers throughout the year
- Legion Pool: an outdoor facility for use by
students, faculty, and staff with valid university identification throughout
the summer months

Programming
- All Campus Homecoming Committee: coordinates
campus activities for Homecoming week and is composed of members of the
student community as well as related offices
- College Bowl: represents campus at various local
and regional tournaments; The College Bowl is a fast-paced, quick-recall game
of popular culture, history, science, and literature.
- Communiversity: service learning program for
student volunteers dedicated to building community on and off campus
- Fraternities and Sororities: approximately fifty
national Greek organizations exist today on the UGA campus
- International Student Life: assists international
students at The University of Georgia
with cross-cultural adjustment, orientation, advising, and cultural programming
- Leadership Development: provides basic skills
and training in several leadership areas primarily utilizing the Leadership
Resource Team
- Pandora Yearbook: the official yearbook of UGA
published annually since 1886
- Student Government Association: the organized
and elected voice of the student body
- Student Organizations: nearly 430 student organizations
are registered at The University of Georgia
and interested individuals can check the published directory each spring and
fall for an updated listing
- 90.5FM WUOG: provides the university and surrounding
community with entertaining and educational music, news, sports, and public
affairs programming
