Primary Types of College Entrance
Exams
- SAT (Scholastic Aptitude Test): This test
addresses the basic college preparatory skills of reading comprehension,
mathematical ability, and verbal prowess. Expect multiple choice
questions in each of these areas.
- ACT (American College Test): This exam is a
multiple choice test that assesses your competency in English, Math, Reading,
and Science.
- SAT-II: These exams are similar to the SAT, but
they test knowledge of specific subjects rather than general college
preparatory skills.
Average Test Scores for Freshman
Entering The University of Georgia
- SAT total scores (compiling both verbal and
mathematical areas): 1130 - 1290
- ACT Composite scores: 25 - 29
***Remember: These
scores are for the central 50% of students admitted in the fall of 1998.
Some admitted applicants have scores above these ranges while others score below
these averages.
