Assistantship: Center for Leadership and Service - Leadership Resource Team Areas of interest in Student Affairs: Leadership and Student Programming Why you selected UGA for your Master’s degree: I was very impressed with the caliber of faculty and students involved in the UGA CSAA Program, and wanted to be a part of a top tier institution. 	Stephanie Howeth Hometown: Sherman, Texas Undergraduate Institution(s): Southeastern Oklahoma State University Assistantship: UGA Housing in Brumby Hall Areas of interest in Student Affairs: Orientation, Student Activities, Leadership, Housing Why you selected UGA for your Master’s degree: Coming from a small institution, I wanted the different experience of a large institution that had my degree. The program at UGA has an outstanding reputation and Athens is such an amazing town with fantastic people. It was the perfect fit for me! Favorite Quote: It's never too late to be who you are.

Other reasons include location, size of program, and main focus on counseling rather than on research or theory. 	Donna Lee Davis Hometown: Pace, Florida Undergraduate Institution(s): Auburn University Assistantship: Center for Leadership and Service Areas of interest in Student Affairs: Student Government, Leadership, First Year Experience, and Orientation Why you selected UGA for your Master’s degree: I wanted to attend a Top 10 school in the south and get experience working in leadership, so this was the perfect fit for me! 	Jonathan Duke Hometown: New Orleans, Louisiana (via Atlanta) Undergraduate Institution(s): Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech) Assistantship: University Union Areas of interest in Student Affairs: Diversity, Leadership Development, Student Activities Why you selected UGA for your Master’s degree: The UGA CSAA program seemed to be the most challenging program that I looked into and the one that would prepare me best for my career in Student Affairs, not just my first job. My undergrad degree is from the number one school in the field (Industrial Engineering), and I expect nothing less from my grad school. 	Ashlee Rauckhorst Hometown: Wadsworth, Ohio Undergraduate Institution(s): Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, Ohio Assistantship: Student Affairs at UGA at Gwinnett Areas of interest in Student Affairs: At this point I'm open for anything but I'm primarily interested in leadership, programming, housing, judicial affairs, and diversity issues. Why you selected UGA for your Master’s degree: We have a GREAT program! I like the faculty, curriculum, and the small cohort. Plus, after twenty-some Ohio winters, it was time to head south!! 	Abe Saunders Hometown: Hudson, North Carolina Undergraduate Institution(s): Western Carolina University Assistantship: Graduate Advisor, Office of Greek Affairs at the Georgia Institute of Technology Areas of interest in Student Affairs: New Student Programming, Judicial Affairs, Greek Life Why you selected UGA for your Master’s degree: The program offers so many opportunities for career development, and the faculty and staff in the department have been nothing but friendly and helpful! Also, the University of Georgia is a first-class Southern institution, and Athens has a distinctively charming spirit that makes it an amazing place to live! 	James Matthew Garrett - "Matt" Hometown: Ashburn, Georgia Undergraduate Institution(s): The University of Georgia - B.B.A. 2006 Assistantship: Center for Leadership & Service Areas of interest in Student Affairs: Service learning and social justice, leadership development, and the First Year Experience and Orientation Why you selected UGA for your Master’s degree: While it was tough for me to make the decision to stay at UGA, the academic rigor of our program is outstanding. The integration with exceptional faculty and knowledge from the classroom environment into our work at amazing assistantships all over campus truly creates a well rounded package. I have an awesome assistantship, the program is well-known and respected, AND Athens is an amazing college town. You can't beat that! GO DAWGS!! 	Paula McBride Hometown: Sandersville, Georgia Undergraduate Institution(s): Georgia College & State University Assistantship: Areas of interest in Student Affairs: Financial Aid, Career Counseling, Academic Advising Why you selected UGA for your Master’s Degree: I was extremely impressed with the program, and it was highly recommended. The University of Georgia has a great reputation with this program, and it simply feels like the right fit for me.
