The purpose of the Community Counseling master’s degree program is to prepare students to work as professional counselors in a variety of community settings. This program is designed to be broad in scope and to focus on the development of sound counseling skills that can be used in a variety of settings and with a wide range of clients. Students are enrolled on a full-time basis with the intent of immersing them in the activities and identity of professional counseling. The Department of Counseling and Human Development Services and the University of Georgia are committed to recruiting students from diverse backgrounds.
