Diane L. Cooper, Professor (Ph.D., The University of Iowa) & Coordinator of the College Student Affairs Administration Master’s Program. Research interests include legal and ethical concerns of student affairs leadership and administration, multicultural issues, mentoring, and interventions with special student populations


 

Laura Dean, Assistant Professor (Ph.D. University of North Carolina-Greensboro).  Research interests include small college environments, the use of standards in student affairs, and college counseling issues. Dr. Dean joined the faculty in the summer of 2006. She received a B.A. in English from Westminster College (PA) in 1980. After working as a high school teacher and a college admissions counselor, she received her M.Ed. (1988) and Ph.D. (1991) in Counseling/Student Development in Higher Education from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She worked at Manchester College (IN) for five years as Associate Dean of Student Development and Director of Counseling. She then worked as a chief student affairs officer for ten years, first as Dean of Students at Pfeiffer University (NC) and then as Vice President for Student Development/Dean of Students at Peace College (NC). She is a National Certified Counselor and is past president of the American College Counseling Association, for which she serves as the representative to the Council for the Advancement of Standards in Higher Education (CAS). On CAS, she currently also serves as Member at Large on the Executive Council and as Publications Editor. She has served on editorial boards for the College Student Affairs Journal and the Journal of College Counseling. Dr. Dean’s research interests include small college environments, the use of standards in student affairs, and college counseling issues.

Merrily S. Dunn, Associate Professor (Ph.D., The Ohio State University) & Coordinator of the College Student Affairs Administration Master’s Program. Research interests include student affairs in higher education, legal issues, and gender issues.


 

Dr. LinderDr. Chris Linder, Assistant Professor (Ph.D., University of Northern Colorado). Research interests include equity and social justice in higher education, college student development (specifically related to the intersections of race and gender), and campus environments.

 

 

 

 

Richard MullendoreProfessor (Ph.D., Michigan State University) & Coordinator for the College Student Affairs Doctoral Program. Research interests include first-year experience issues, orientation programs, transfer students, and parents of college students.


 

A Singh

Anneliese A. Singh research interests in multicultural counseling and social justice, qualitative methodology with historically marginalized groups (e.g., people of color, LGBTQI, immigrants), advocacy to end child sexual abuse in South Asian communities, feminist theory and practice, Asian American counseling and psychology issues, and empowerment interventions with trauma survivors.
