UGA Black Faculty and Staff Organization (BFSO) Supports Literacy at Chase Street!
The University of Georgia's Black Faculty and Staff Organization has joined in the partnership the University, through its College of Education, has with the Clarke County School District and the Athens Clarke County community by supporting reading at Chase Street, one of the 2 Partnership schools in the initiative. BFSO's contributions to Chase Street were acknowledged in a school wide assembly on December 16, 2004 when representatives from BFSO came on site to present the school with books for their classroom libraries. BFSO President Myron Burney also presented the school with a framed poster depicting the "Joy of Reading". We are so pleased to have BFSO as a partner with us in the Partnership for Community Learning Centers work.
