Siegesmund selected Art Educator of Year

Richard Siegesmund, with the Clarke County School District, has been selected by the National Art Education Association to receive the Southeastern Region Higher Education Art Educator of the Year Award.

This award recognizes the exemplary contributions, service and achievements of an outstanding NAEA member annually at the regional level. Siegesmund is scheduled to accept the award during the NAEA National Convention that will take place in Chicago later this month.

The membership of NAEA includes elementary, secondary, middle level and high school art teachers in 50 states, representatives from America's major art museums, state departments of education, arts councils and major colleges and universities throughout the United States and 66 foreign countries.
