Classic City High School joins the Partnership!

Effective academic year 2006-2007, Classic City High School Performance Learning Center (PLC) will join the Partnership for Community Learning Centers. The partnership agreement will run concurrently with the PLC's 3 year School Improvement Plan.

Principal Dan Hunter and the faculty at Classic City High School wrote in their application,
“We are committed to engaging in comprehensive school reform to ensure the success of our students. Our mission is to re-engage the disengaged student. We know that UGA has been one of the secrets to our early success, and because of our positive experiences, we would like expand this relationship and become a partnership school. We believe that becoming a partnership school will help us meet our AYP goals and give our students more opportunities to be successful and become well rounded citizens. …Our faculty voted unanimously to create a partnership with the University of Georgia and the Athens community.

This is a great addition to our Partnership and we are so pleased to welcome the PLC!
