Megan is going to look into the prices for: safety vests, flashlights, weather radios, portable first aid kits, small work out bag to put everything in
After she gets those prices to William no later than 2 weeks he will put those together in a list and present them to Bill Stauff to present to Dean Horne.
Also, we are going to talk with David Anderson about getting another evac chair for River’s Crossing 3rd floor.
CPR certifications were discussed and we are going to look into the 2 year certs through the American Heart with our contact from St. Mary’s with $30 per person for CPR/AED and an additional $20 for first aid. Discussed maybe have college pay for a few cpr/aed and if people wanted first aid they can pay for it. All of these proposals will be sent to the Dean through Bill.
Active shooter lecture (sept 9) and BSSR brown bag (sept 22) was brought up as education for safety reps, please attend if possible. Information is on the osep page http://www.osep.uga.edu/osep_classes/
Dee volunteered to work on the listserv
William will be placing Emergency Prep Manual online for people to review COE_Emergency_Operations_Plan_8_24_2010
BSSR for River’s Crossing was updated, and the reps for Ramsey and Aderhold were going to do that outside of the meeting.
