Meeting started 10:05 am

  • CPR/AED and First-Aid Training
    • Date, who will attend, how much it will cost
      • Get 3 dates that everyone one can make it Dec 8, Nov 18, Dec 2
      • Everyone on the Safety Committee needs to attend (since they gave us the money this time around)
      • The payment is done after the service is performed
  • BEAP’s (building emergency action plan) (if time permits) william emailed to listserve
    • Each building point work on this with their BST (building safety team)
      • Our floor reps are these
  • Discussion of what to do in case of…. (if time permits)
    • Fire
    • Tornado
    • Active shooter
    • Severe weather
      • To alert or not to alert that is the question…seriously
      • Evaluation with everything so far (if time permits)
  • David Anderson will do evac chair training if we setup a date with him
  • Bring Radio into next meeting
  • Megan Callaway will be the Secretary for the Safety Committee
  • BEAP sent to listserv and everyone please look at  it and get with your building points (dee and laura- Aderhold, Megan-Ramsey, or myself-River’s Crossing depending on building)
    • Looking into building phone tree _is there an automated service we can use?-William is email Pete Golden from OSEP
    • If your dept has an emergency phone tree send it to your building point

 

  • HOMEWORK!!! (WELL OFFICEWORK)
    • Know at least 2 ways out of your building
    • Know where the fire extinguishers are in your building and the nearest one to you
